7 Signs you Watch too Much Porn

Ladies and Gents, I am sure there are moments in your life when you are single, there’s no one on the radar screen and you get these ‘urges’ so to speak.  Ladies, there are some of you that don’t want to ‘just give it up’ to just anyone, especially if you just came out of a relationship or have been burned by someone recently–figuratively not literally of course,…I hope. You’re probably not even feeling sexy enough to entertain the thought of intercourse at the moment.

As far as the Men, well you have your share of reasons. For one, yes, you are single and there’s no one on the radar screen. You’re recently divorced and/or you’ve been out of the game so long you don’t have the same “mackin’ skills”  you once had; or you’re a sex addict and the number of times a week with your spouse won’t do.

Sooo what do we do?  We search for smut, smut and more smut. It doesn’t matter whether it’s on DVD/cassette, your laptop, or you find yourself ordering it on cable. I guess an exploratory view here and there won’t hurt, but when it becomes a regular thing, then it can become a problem. While some of the items on this list can be funny some can be actually serious and you may need an intervention.

Before we begin just for giggles let’s take a look at this shall we:
With that being said here are my 7 signs you watch too much porn.

1. You know more than 5 adult stars by name

Pinky Adult Star - OpinionatedMale.com
The famous Pinky

It’s one thing to know of the prominent industry stars over the years because they’ve ventured outside of the adult film industry and have done cameo roles in movies, shows, etc. Perhaps they are guest speakers or have done a commercial or two. Ron Jeremy and Jenna Jameson are a few that have explored the entertainment world outside of adult films.

But if you are able to list more than 5 adult stars by name, then yeah you’ve had your fill. For example, if you played a game called ‘Name These Porn Stars’ and you’re able rattle off names such as, Pinky, Mr Marcus, Wesley Pipes, Olivia O’Lovely, Ice La Fox, Byron Long, Roxy Reynolds….uuhh…oops. Hey don’t judge me, I had to search for these.

2. They automatically appear in your browser suggestions

I’m not referring to an accidental result on legitimate Google search, so you know what I mean: If you type in actual porn sites without stopping, or if you can name several with no hesitation; if you type in random three letters and a porn site comes up automatically in your history, then you watch too much.

On a more serious note, you have to be careful with this because some of these sites can contain viruses and likely damage your computer.

3. It becomes difficult to have s*x with your partner

If you cannot become romantic with your partner without putting on a flick, then this can lead to some serious problems down the road. Your spouse who may already have issues with her sexiness or lack thereof could actually develop more of an issue. You should be able to be one with and bond with your partner on all levels without needing to put on porno to get into the mood. On the other hand, am I saying having a woman with a high libido and a freaky side who likes to watch porn with her man is a bad thing? Absolutely not.

4. You have difficulty getting ‘it’ up

There are men out there who have experienced the pain and tribulations of  some sort of erectile dysfunction. In some cases it can be old age, lack of a healthy lifestyle, or performance anxiety disorder. In this case though I am talking about flicks. If you aren’t able to stand at attention and salute the vagina because you haven’t watched porno yet, that can be a problem. It is a pretty serious matter and it can wreak havoc on your relationship on all levels. About 10 years ago I watched a movie starring acclaimed actor Hill Harper called “Love, Sex, and Eating the Bones”. It’s a great movie and it echoes exactly what I’m talking about.

5. You own more adult films than actual movies

I know some of you all have that ‘shoebox’. You know what I am talking about. That shoebox that contains your stash of flicks that you more than likely keep out of sight and only you know where it is and what it’s for. If you contain more movies in that box than actual movies, you may be an addict With all of the movies, documentaries, sports, and TV box sets that have come out, I find it impossible for them to be out numbered by a porn stash in your collection. Or is it?

6. You ask your spouse to perform similar acts

“I want you to bend over and touch your toes like (X) does it” ….”Yo make your tongue go over my d**k like (Y)”…..”Clap and jiggle that a$$ like (Z) did it”……Without being too redundant, ladies if your man has said these things to you, then yeah, he watches a wee bit too much.

7. Kleenex are now extinct; socks and cloths are now prevalent

Need I explain more?

So OM readers, those are some signs that you or someone you know may be addicted to porn. Now is your chance to share. What are some other signs someone may be addicted to porn? Is there even such a thing? Do tell.

Peace

Interesting post! My first thought however is why some people need a caveat for watching….can’t it just be entertainment? With that said, I’m less weary of those who may have an addiction to these movies, but will give major side eye to those who believe everything they see and don’t realize its staged/fake/edited, etc. I actually think there are worse things someone can waste hours on end watching…..like sports! Lol

“I actually think there are worse things someone can waste hours on end watching…..like sports! Lol”
      Or Black reality television. #CanonsFired
In any event, I’m with you. Booty flicks certainly are not lacking in the entertainment department thats for sure (lol) and are arguably harmless. However, as with anything else in life, “too much of one thing is good for nothing”. So I understand the caveat – being cognizant of walking that fine line between moderation (watching ‘loads’ of fun) and addiction (watching ‘loads’ of fun to the point it negatively impacts your personal life and relationships). At least thats what I got from the post.

Mr. Sobo, that’ exactly what I was getting at, nothing wrong with eye candy but when it becomes a part of your life and it impacts you in a negative fashion then it’s an issue. By the way I literally laughed my a$$ off at the quotation around “loads”…I’d rather watch it than any type of Hollywood housewife type of show, but I do feel there is a such thing as an unhealthy addiction, on the other hand I guess it’s better than being addicted to drugs or alcohol.

I just wonder why couples don’t watch together and enjoy…why would it be so awkward? A female wants to learn a thing or 2 to make her man happy, but its all fantasy cause in real life sex doesn’t play out like that, It wouldn’t feel the same as the screen, you view is up close and person and the feeling isn’t as thrilling as what was just observed. For a man, he has his ultimate urges, but stays attracted to what he sees on the screen, now in each DVD features the same broads..(who obviously stars in it) so therefore a man gets hooked onto the person, not the video (in my opinion) now what happens after porn plays in15 minutes they get off and put it away…how does one recycle the same video…doesn’t that feeling go away, you already seen the spectacle. I couldn’t imagine all relationships playful manner ending in “money-shots” not all the damn time…its just a fantasy. I think we well some of us have became so caught onto the notation of porn that we forget how to be spontaneous in reality. (forgive me, seems like I’m writing a blog here myself) oops-sorry!!! But Ultimately if us fellas or these ladies know the stars and the scenes by hard..its time to put it down and start paying attention to our lover (if we have one) but for single men, you can’t get know reality from watching it..experience your own and try things safely as you please. just my thought. (I know it didn’t answer any question, but this came across my mind after reading this.) I’ll be a fool to say I don’t know some stars name and haven’t fantasize about them, but that’s when its a problem (it’s time to get your own and not a figment of imagination that’s everybody elses) lmao…ok let me shut up.

yeah some dudes really get caught up in the world of smut. I’m sure there lots of brothers out there who know tons of stars and even buy flicks because they are featured prominently.
